CLEVELAND — If you've never seen Elton John live, you'll have one final opportunity to hear him perform in Cleveland this summer.
John will play Progressive Field in Cleveland on July 30. If you can't make that date, he'll also perform at Columbus' Value City Arena on April 13. Tickets for both shows are currently on sale.
The Rocket Man said this will be his farewell tour — aptly called the "Farewell Yellow Brick Road" tour, named for his 1973 album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. The 74-year-old plans to hit more than 100 cities around the world, performing hits from his celebrated catalog along the way.
"It's time to come off the road so I can fully embrace the next important chapter of my life," John said in a statement posted on his website.
The North American leg of his farewell tour will end with back-to-back performances at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. He'll then fly to New Zealand and Australia where he plans to play a series of shows and then conclude the tour.
Tickets for any show on the tour — including the Cleveland and Columbus performances — can be purchased through Elton John's website.
