Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today: Taiwan-based leading semiconductor chemical supplier, Sunlit Chemical, broke ground yesterday on its first U.S. manufacturing facility in Phoenix. The groundbreaking advances the state's reputation as a national semiconductor leader and advances Arizona's unrivaled semiconductor industry supply chain within the U.S. The facility is a $100 million investment for the region. (AZ Big Media)The Phoenix Police Department is currently searching for a suspect who fatally shot a man in a Phoenix motel. Phoenix Police responded to a 911 call on Jan. 19 about a shooting and pronounced the victim dead when they arrived. Police have not issued a description of the suspect but we will keep you updated as the case develops. (KGUN)Dr. Chad Gestson, a prominent Phoenix School District superintendent, speaks out about the need for mask mandates in school classrooms. Arizona Governor Doug Ducey has repeatedly attacked such mandates. Arizona State Supreme Court has struck down legislation pushed by Governor Ducey that would legally restrict mask mandates.
