The following was submitted as a press release to Worcester Patch WORCESTER, MA — On Jan. 24 at 6:30 p.m., the NAACP Worcester Branch in partnership with a nonprofit AdMeTech Foundation is hosting a public virtual forum to discuss the emerging advances in patient care and related racial and ethnic disparities, with a focus on prostate cancer and COVID-19. This event will address the critical importance of public education, awareness and access to the high-quality health services for saving lives and eliminating health disparities. The general public is invited to attend. No registration is required, and the event is free of charge. The event panelists include leaders of the Worcester NAACP and Worcester delegation to the Massachusetts State House, and medical professionals, who serve as champions of ending the racial and ethnic health disparities seen in the region. To produce this event, the NAACP Worcester Branch has partnered with non-profit Admetech Foundation, providing global leadership in transforming patient care of life-threatening diseases. Worcester has been carrying some of the state's "hot spots" of the COVID-19 pandemic, overlapping with prostate cancer health disparities.
