When we were young

Description

We were magic, a shinning love everyone was in awe of. Unlikely and intense we made each other better, stronger, smarter, sexier. We just kept falling, laughing at our luck to find that kind of trust, that kind of love. Then one day it broke. Who knew love was as spun sugar and of no lasting magnitude. Yet there are still books written about Henry the 8th confections, roses spun of sugar. Dreams to reality. Here we are again, sitting not so very far from where we were all those years ago when those bands first played across my darkened apparent on a fuzzy boom box in still nights. You still spread through my mind like fire, like Ouzo, like the wind. If this message should reach you, touch you, remind you of that place and time, I hope it brings you only joy. I meant it when I said I would always love you, for what it’s worth.
