Seasoned guitarist looking to join or form and original band. 50s, fit, not out of touch, plenty of stage/studio experience and quality gear. Currently in a project with largely unmotivated people and looking for something more fulfilling. I am not looking to quit my job and hit the road but am hoping to find like-minded people write, record, and play out locally (some travel is fine). I am self taught with loads of influences (Stooges, NY Dolls, Ramones, Pistols, Dead Boys, Television, Nick Cave, Stones, Zep, Neil young, Sabbath, Motorhead, Bowie, Americana (Lucinda, Steve Earle, Wilco, DBTs, Isbell, The Band, Jason & the Scorchers...), GBV, Replacements, Superchunk, Bash & Pop, Big Star, Hold Steady, The Hives, Social Distortion, Rocket From the Crypt, Supergrass, Teenage Fanclub, Wyldlife...) NOT a shredder or jammer. I strive to play and write parts that serve the song, not my ego. Fine to play rhythm/ lead or trade off. Whatever the situation calls for. I am in NE DC, have a car and am willing to travel to practice within reason (ideally inside the Beltway). If you have made it this far, congratulations and thanks! Give me a shout.
