We are looking for RESPONSIBLE Lifeguards to work March through September in Clay County areas for weekdays, weekends and holidays. All candidates must be 15 years or older, American Red Cross Lifeguard certified (or willing to get certified), CPR & FIRST AID, AED certification (or willing to get certified), personable, organized, self-motivated individuals with flexible schedules, able to pass a background check and have reliable transportation. The lifeguard position ensures safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. Creates a safe and positive atmosphere that promotes resident’s safety and in accordance with community policies and procedures. Responsibilities and Duties include the following: • Perform all opening and closing duties as assigned. • Test the pool chemicals on a regular schedule. • Monitor pool-related activities closely throughout shift and identify any safety issues. • Respond quickly to all emergency situations in the water using proper procedures and techniques. • Direct swimmers out of the pool in hazardous conditions. • Monitor weather reports closely to ensure safety of guests. • Maintain a clean environment in and around the pool. • Must be able to remain alert, sit or stand for extended periods and ability to hear noises and distinguish distress signals If you are not currently certified but would like to get certified, please feel free to call between the hours of 9 am and 4 pm to inquire about certification course.
