Description
So, I have been watching a lot of rhetoric going around regarding this pandemic. I am a science major and it has been proven that viruses have one goal in mind. That is to survive! So they mutate to accomplish this. Many people believe in American Rights. ie, not to wear a mask or not to get vaccinated. This is proven that not only does the virus spread, but mutates and gets stronger. I believe in rights, but I also believe in protecting not only myself, but the community at large. My sister, a 34 yr Registered nurse decided not to get vaccinated until it was too late. Now she is dealing with long-haulers covid. Fog brain, unable do the normal things etc. Was put on temp disability with a lower income. Has passed the virus unto her house hold. Not good, especially since my 88 yr old mother lives within the house hold. I believe that people not using GOOD common sense about this pandemic and would rather exercise their rights not to wear a mask or get vaccinated may want to think a little differently. What's at risk? Will we continue to spread this virus and slow down getting back to normal? And besides, what good is it of exercising your rights when you are laying on your deathbed? Or have caused someone else to? I believe in rights. Many other countries don't have these like American does. But rights come with responsibility. If only one person reads this post and saves either their life or others, then I have made my point!
