Description

Beansie is a 1 year old mini dachshund. He is crate trained and has an e collar for training. He loves other dogs/cats and does great with children. He loves to be babied and cuddled! He would do best with another dog friend to keep him company. Beans knows commands such as sit, “place”, spin, and “here”. He has his training bed for when he needs to “place” which is just him staying and laying down till you release him. He loves chew toys with squeakers and as any puppy he needs to be supervised. He has a bad habit of nibbling on soft blankets if he is left unsupervised, though he does well left out most nights. He loves dog parks and can get tired out easily as he has tiny legs. He hates the cold like most tiny dogs so supervision outside is needed in order for him to actually go potty. Beans needs someone who can be consistent with him on training and discipline as his breed can be strong willed. The e collar is what has been used to train him since he was a young puppy and that should be used consistently in his new home. Especially as he gets to learn that you’re his new owner. If you decide to go a different route training then you can expect him to need time to adjust aka he might be defiant and not listen to you (from personal experience). He is a very small dog who believes he’s a big dog. He needs someone who can dedicate time to working with him and bonding with him. All around Beans is very much still a puppy and needs solid consistent training with someone who can give him attention. He’s a great buddy and just plain adorable. He wants to be your baby and be next to you all the time! I took him in to foster him as his previous owners couldn’t take care of him and were moving out of state, I believe he’s come a long way in training and is ready for his forever home! I am looking for someone who is stable and has time for him. Preferably no college students as I am in college and fostering him alone was a challenge. I would prefer him to have another dog friend but it’s not exactly a requirement. I’d prefer his new home to have a fenced in backyard, he loves to roam. I can share his current crating schedule to help ease him into his new home once we decide you’re a good fit! There is a rehoming fee of $250. He has a neuter appointment in late February so as of now he is not neutered. He comes with his high quality Fromm dog food, dog bowls, toys, training mats, e collar, treats, shampoo, nail trimmer, and his crate. I also prefer to see the house he would be staying in so that I can know he will be taken care of, I am in no rush to rehome him. If you believe you’d be a good fit for Beans feel free to respond to this ad!
