Instructor: Marlene Steele
In person at VPC Campus
Create a lovely portrait of your pet from a photograph to be enjoyed forever. You will learn two methods to sketch the portrait onto your canvas and then choose the one you are most comfortable with: the transfer method or freehand drawing. To use the transfer method, please bring a photocopy of the photograph on printer paper true to the final size (4x4, 5x7, or 6x9.) Then, to bring your pet’s personality to life, you will receive guided instruction on mixing acrylic paint colors and using brush strokes to achieve the look you want. No previous painting experience necessary!
Supply List (Please purchase and bring to class):
A color photograph of your pet
A black and white photocopy of the photograph (if using transfer method)
1 4x4, 5x7, or 6x9 gallery wrap canvas or panel
Assorted acrylic colors
Brushes and mixing palette or gray sheet paper palette
