Description
Join The Assembly Call and Crimson Cast, plus special guest Anthony Leal, for a postgame show and party after Indiana hosts Illinois on 2/5. We're back! After having to cancel our annual Bloomington meetup last year due to COVID, we're back in the best college town in America the weekend of February 4-6 for the IU-Illinois game. And on February 5th, we're hosting a live postgame show and gameday party at Switchyard Brewing Company. We'd love to have you join us. The best part? Your appearance and patronage will support a local charity. A portion (15%) of all food and drink sales from event attendees will be donated to Mother Hubbard's Cupboard, which works to increase access to healthy food in ways that cultivate dignity, self-sufficiency, and community in Bloomington. Here's the basic schedule ... Some folks who don't have tickets will be at Switchyard during the game for a watch party. So come by Switchyard early if you don't have tickets and want to hang out and watch with fellow Hoosiers and Back Home Network community members. Then following the game, the Assembly Call crew will trek over from Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and hop on the mics to host a live postgame show, talking about the game, taking questions, and assessing where the team is in the big picture. At some point during the live show, Anthony Leal will be making a special appearance. He'll join us on the mics for an interview, and autograph a basketball that we'll auction off for charity. (Needless to say, we'll be taking many precautious to reduce risk for Anthony, so there is unlikely to be a formal meet-and-greet or autograph session.) We're also planning to having our friends from Homefield Apparel in the house, as well as representatives from Hoosier Ticket Project, which will be hosting a special auction for IU tickets. ***Note: we have 100 total RSVP spots here on EventBrite. It's possible that you can still attend if you don't claim an RSVP spot, but Switchyard is trying to host this event in the safest way possible. Still stop by, as not everyone who RSVPs will attend, and we'll do whatever we can to get you in safely. If you have any questions, email [email protected] or [email protected].
