We invite your students to attend this free unique educational experience that will empower them to be their best selves and be successful now and well into future. 100 Black Men of Philadelphia, Inc. is committed to the intellectual development of the youth and economic empowerment of the African-American community. Improving the financial education of the youth at an early age will economically empower individual. families, whole communities, and entire regions to succeed financially. HANDS ON BANKING (6th - 12th grades) Students participating in this program will: a. Have mentoring services provided that focus on the Economic Empowerment pillarb. Increase their understanding of financial literacy and key termsc. Understand the importance of making good financial choicesd. Interact with those in the field of finance and bankinge. Shark Tank Business Pitch Competition: Youth will be tasked to create a startup business model. The Idea Lab will be modeled off the hit series, Shark Tank. Youth will determine the consumer needs of their community and create a business model to address these needs. Youth will be challenged to become social Entrepreneurs.
