Flower Mound CDA Rhetoric School Sadie Hawkins Dance Yee Haw! Welcome to the CDA Flower Mound Sadie Hawkins Dance.Hosted by 2022 seniors and parent volunteers! WHO IS INVITED? All Flower Mound CDA Rhetoric School students grades 9-12 and their guest (limit one guest per CDA student). HOW DO I GRAB SOME TICKETS? Tickets are on sale January 19, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. All tickets must be purchased by Wednesday February 2, 2022 by 4:00 p.m. Shirts are only available to purchase before January 27, 2022. By purchasing tickets, you agree to the dress code and code of conduct. TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. **Please note, this is NOT a school-sponsored event.** Parking and Drop-off Information: Drop-off and pick-up is directly in front of the main entrance FAQ'S (For more info, see the Code of Conduct below as well.) What time will guests be required to be at the dance? All guests must check-in by 8:30 p.m. to attend the dance. What 's the refund policy? All tickets are non-refundable. May I transfer my ticket if I am unable to attend the dance? You may transfer your ticket to a FM CDA Rhetoric student. Notify the dance committee and provide the CDA student's name along with the student's parent's name, email, and phone number. Can I bring a non-CDA guest? Yes, you may bring one guest. Guests must provide name, school, parents' email and phone number, and agree to the dress code and code of conduct. Guests must arrive with a CDA student. They will not be allowed to check-in without their CDA guest host/hostess. What is the dress code? See the code of conduct for details on dress code on the bottom of this description. Suggested attire is cute/casual semi-formal or western themed wear.( i.e. modestly short dresses for girls and dress pants or jeans and shirt for boys.) Boots and cowboy hats encouraged! What about SADIE'S DANCE shirts? Purchase your Sadie's shirt for $20 by using the shirt add-on to your dance ticket. Sizes small through XXL are available. Note: T-shirt sales end January 27, 2022. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No need to bring your ticket. We will check your name off the list when you arrive. Any who do not show up, parents will be immediately notified. Can I leave the dance early? Can I get re-entry if I leave? For the safety and security of all students we will not allow students to leave the venue until the 10:30 p.m. ending time. There will be no re-entry once students leave the dance (if their parents approve of them leaving). This includes going to the parking lot or wandering outside the dance venue. If an emergency occurs, reach out to the parent volunteer coordinators and we will contact your parents and coordinate with them. Who can I/my parents contact in case of an emergency? You can ask the 2022 senior dance coordinators any and all questions. I commit to adhering to the following dress code: For girls: - Dress length must meet fingertips (including slits and kick pleats) - No low-cut (front or back) or side exposure - Two-piece dresses must not reveal more than ½” of midriff/back/sides - FOR PROM, most students wear long formal/semi-formal dresses. For boys: - Collared, buttoned-up shirt required and tucked in; shirts MAY NOT BE REMOVED or unbuttoned more than 2 buttons from collar - Pants must be neat, clean, and properly fitted; no saggy or baggy pants - FOR PROM, ties are not required, but please wear jackets/slacks or suit/tux. No jeans, please. NOTE: Parents, it is your responsibility to discuss these guidelines with your student (and non-CDA guest) and oversee compliance to the above dress code policy. EVENT CONDUCT. I commit to adhering to the following code of conduct: - I will respect the direction of chaperones and conduct myself in a Christ-honoring manner. - I understand that smoking, vaping, alcohol/drug use, groping, provocative dancing is strictly prohibited. - I understand that the music played will consist of popular secular dance music (radio edit) and vetted by the dance committee volunteers. I understand that not everyone will be 100% satisfied with the music choices. - I understand that the event will require unique social distancing guidelines and I will adhere to those guidelines. (Dancing in one large group clustered together on the dance floor will be discouraged. Smaller groups of 6-8 people dancing together and spreading out all across the dance floor is necessary. Slow dancing is acceptable.) - I will not use any foul or disrespectful language while at the dance (including while on dance floor). - I will respect the facility and assist in cleanup if asked. - I understand that no attendees are allowed to leave the venue (even to the parking lot) before the dance end time unless an emergency or special circumstance is communicated to chaperones by the attendees’ parents even if the student is 18 years old. Re-entry to the event will NOT be allowed once students leave. It is the parents’ sole responsibility to monitor the whereabouts of their student/s before, during, and after the dance. NOTE: Parents, it is your responsibility to discuss these guidelines with your student (and non-CDA guest) and oversee compliance to the above event conduct policy. Failure to comply with the above code of conduct policies may result in removal from the dance. If necessary, for a student to be removed from the dance, parents will be immediately notified and expected to pick-up their student/s.
