As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining diesel and gasoline industrial and submersible pumps, positively representing the Company and maintaining good relations with customers. Successful Mechanics excel and place value on the following: • Applying your mechanical ability to perform maintenance on equipment • Safely use hand and power tools to repair, clean, and maintain pumps and pump appearance • Receive, inspect and stock needed products, including oil filters, air filters, pump, hoses, and tools • Inspect, examine, and test pumps using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications Load, secure, deliver, unload and install pumps • Advancing your career through company provided training and the ability to increase your pay as you increase your skills Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Use hand and power tools to repair, and maintain pumps, filtration systems, tanks, pipes, hoses and fittings. • Perform inspections, diagnosis, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and diesel systems as required. • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on all equipment. • Properly document repairs on work orders. • Adhere to lock-out, tag-out protocols and procedures. • Receive, inspect and stock products, including oil filters, air filters, pump hoses, and tools. • Secure and maintain hand and power tools required for work completion. • Inspect, examine, and test pumps using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. • Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot or make repairs as needed. • Participate and be available for 24-hour on-call program to assist customers and respond to emergencies. • Read, comprehend, and apply information from parts diagrams, schematics and instruction manuals. • Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications. • Complete paperwork as required by management. • Promote cooperation and good communication with all Branch and Corporate personnel. • Be an active participant in the Company’s Safety Culture. • Know and practice company’s value proposition. • Perform all other duties as assigned.
