Get outside this winter and enjoy art making, community building, fire pits, art in nature at Canal Shores Golf Course. Get outside this winter and enjoy a month of art making, community building, fire pits, art in nature at Canal Shores Golf Course during Winter Wonderland this February 1-28, 2022! Canal Shores Public Golf Course is one of Evanston’s biggest green spaces, accessible by bus, CTA, car and bike! This February, the community is invited to get outside during winter and turn the golf course into an outdoor art gallery full of community-created nature ART installations. You don’t have to be an artist to participate, anyone can make and display art! Every Saturday in February, at the Canal Shores Pro Shop Fire Pit, we’ll gather 3-5p, for art-making by a warm fire and sunset art tours of new nature art installations! We had some pretty amazing art installations last year, click here for inspiration. Once you've created and placed your art (holes 1-3, 11-18), send us a photo and location. This community arts initiative is made possible in partnership with Canal Shores Public Golf Course, Downtown Evanston and Evanston Made. Evanston Made is a 501(c)3 nonproft arts organization, working to connect Evanston Creatives with the community through year round programming that gives artists the opportunities to show, share and sell their work.
