Description
Let's celebrate under the stars! Open air is the way to go and we have such a lovely setting for it. Fashioned after the wildly successful Le Dîner en Blanc International®, the Temple Terrace Arts Council personally invites you to an elegant evening under the stars at the breathtakingly beautiful, historic Woodmont Park, 415 Woodmont Avenue, Temple Terrace, Florida, March 26, 2022, from 6:00pm -10:00 p.m. Art en Blanc, the 8th annual evolution of the French picnic invented by Francois Pasquier in 1988, is a potpourri of all things artistic and enchanting. Guests are required to adorn themselves in tones of white from brilliant to khaki, in casual or costume style, from bonnet to slipper. Recognition for spectacular attire and table art encourage attendees to unveil their creative genius and collaborate with friends to deliver an unforgettable night of visual delights. True to the original En Blanc notion, guests dine on picnic fare of their own creation with their personal collection of dinnerware, flatware, and vessels. The Arts Council provides chairs, tables, linens (white, of course), and entertainment. Guests who do not wish to spend their precious time in the kitchen may choose from inspired menu items from a restaurant to be determined as we get closer to the event. You'll want to arrive at 6pm to decorate your table - there could be some pretty stiff competition for the "Most Creative Tablescape". Dinner will officially begin at 7pm. Entertainment for the evening will be provided by Classic Entertainment which always leads to dancing in the moonlight , an en plein air painting auction, a wine sale, sophisticated paparazzi, and a few secret surprises. Rain or Shine (unless Covid-19 changes our plans). The Temple Terrace Community Arts Festival Inc., a 501 (c) 3, registered non-profit organization whose mission is to bring arts and culture to the community and beyond, is staffed entirely by Temple Terrace Arts Council volunteers and has no bricks or mortar. All proceeds from this event are directed to support this mission. Activities include hosting the 47th Temple Terrace Arts & Crafts Festival (November 14-15, 2020), support for local schools, after school art programs, public art projects, and artists.
