Matthew began his culinary career in Little Rock, then wanted to expand by moving to the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, Oregon, in 2007. After learning the importance of farm to table, he returned to Arkansas to connect with local farmers and dive into teaching and building restaurants. Matthew’s latest project was creating the atmosphere, food and relationships with local farmers while at The Preacher’s Son. He has since made the choice to continue his creative passion to build his own restaurant in the location he and his family has fallen in love with, called Conifer (opening later this year)
