BRANDON, FL — Residents can begin giving their input Wednesday on the 25,000 sq. ft library that will replace the current Brandon Library, a Hillsborough County news release said. The county will build a new library at the northeast corner of Lumsden Road and Woodview Drive, officials said. It will feature enhanced amenities, better parking than the current library, and will have more space for additional programs. In 1990, the current library came into existence. The the 22-year-old space does not have enough room to meet the demands of 21st century technology instruction and accommodate the services requested by customers. No word yet on when the construction phase will begin and end. Residents can visit HCFLGov.net/HCEngage any time from Jan. 19 through Feb. 1 to learn more about the project and offer comments.
