Press release from the Village of Sussex: 01/18/2022 3:05 PM Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha County has a NEW Home Preservation program to assist low to moderate-income homeowners repair their existing homes. The program promotes dignity and independence for homeowners by addressing critical health and safety needs within their homes. Repair work includes roofing, accessibility upgrades, energy efficiency, code violations, plumbing, siding, electrical, and minor repairs to preserve home exteriors and revitalize neighborhoods. Military Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Up to 80% of the cost can be forgiven.  Seed dollars to launch this program have been provided by Generac Power Systems, City of Waukesha TIF Affordable Housing Extension, Community Development Block Grant, and private philanthropic support.
