Press release from the Town of Grafton: January 18, 2022 - 5:19pm The Grafton Planning Department has released a Request for Proposals (RFP), for the scope of services related to the Grafton Comprehensive Master Plan. The complete RFP can be found on the Town of Grafton website, on the Planning Department page. All proposals must be submitted before March 4, 2022, to the Grafton Planning Department. The current Master Plan was last updated in November of 2001. Twenty years have passed since the document was last updated, warranting a thorough review and revision to ensure the plan reflects the current community vision of Grafton. With the recent release of 2020 Census data, the Town believes there will be a significant opportunity to utilize this data to review the Town's progress and formulate a vision for the next ten years. This process will be organized into a three-phased approach to update the Master Plan. When asked about this approach, Mr. Chrisopher McGoldrick, Town Planner, stated; "spreading the process out over three years will help reduce our annual financial requirement. It will also allow staff to engage in the project in a higher capacity, and allow for greater public participation." The Town anticipates that the new Comprehensive Master Plan will be completed in late 2023 or early 2024. This press release was produced by the Town of Grafton.
