NEW HAVEN - A New Haven resident is $50,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket in Branford earlier this week, according to the Connecticut Lottery. On January 14, the big winner from New Haven, purchased a Powerball ticket from the Big Y World Class Market in Branford and won $50,000.
