Jan. 19, 2022
Chairwoman, Maureen Westbrook of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce, proudly announced that the Chamber received a $4,950.00 grant from the Liberty Bank Foundation to help support the Hal Kaplan Middletown Mentor Program.
The Hal Kaplan Middletown Mentor Program is an active 30-year partnership between the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce and the Middletown Board of Education. This partnership was formed to fill a need in our community, to make sure young people attending Middletown Public Schools have access to dependable and positive people while also gaining a trusted friend who will commit and listen to them.
Middlesex Chamber President Larry McHugh noted, "As a founding member, major sponsor, strong history of employee volunteer mentors from day one, Liberty Bank's 30-year history supporting the Hal Kaplan Middletown Mentor Program has made a difference in the lives of so many young people and the Middlesex Chamber is very grateful!"
