Looking for Pro Bass Player for new AVL band

Established Asheville area musicians forming a new band and looking for electric bass and/or upright bass. We are looking for someone with pro gear, availability and desire to help us turn this project into something special. We love great songs and classic songwriters like: The Band, The Beatles, Neil Young, Richard Thompson, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Ray Charles, Hunter/Garcia, Patty Griffin, Van Morrison, The Rolling Stones. As well as newer artists like Iron & Wine, Mandolin Orange, Welch/Rawlings and Bon Iver. Simple songs, harmony singing and jamming are also a big part of what we do. Over the course of this winter we have been writing and recording and we plan to release an album this year. We’ve got a few gigs on the books with plans to play many more this spring and summer. Before meeting each other in the AVL area, we’ve all been in various bands in Nashville, NYC, Seattle, & Atlanta. We played our first show back in October, just for fun, as friends, & it was magic.
