Hundreds more COVID-19 infections – but no new deaths – are reported in southwest Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Health recorded more than 550 new infections in Vanderburgh County, more than 200 in Warrick County, more than 100 in Gibson County, and 61 in Posey County.
Vanderburgh's seven-day positivity rate topped 32 percent.
The Tuesday dashboard was unusual in that it showed no new COVID-related deaths despite more than 1,000 new infections in the seven-county area.
Across the 12-county region of southwest Indiana, the number of hospitalized COVID patients fell by a dozen to 224.
Statewide, Indiana added 77 fatalities and more than 12,000 new cases.
The state's positivity rate stood at 30 percent.
