Description
FREEHOLD, NJ — The Route 33 bridge over Conrail railroad in Freehold will remain closed for several more months as emergency repairs continue, the New Jersey Department of Transportation said.
Road closures began on Dec. 22 for repairs to the bridge, east of Jerseyville Avenue. As the bridge "is in worse condition than expected," repairs will continue until at least April, the NJ Department of Transportation said.
Work is expected to begin in several weeks and will take place 24 hours a day, except on Monday and Wednesday due to the railroad schedule.
Signs will be up to give drivers warning.
