CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, OH — The Heights Libraries reopened their buildings to the public on Wednesday.
The library system closed its branches in late December and only permitted customers access through curbside services. However, on Wednesday, the libraries reopened all branches to the public.
The four Heights Libraries branches — in the Cedar-Lee neighborhood, Noble neighborhood, Coventry neighborhood and University Heights — will have limited hours for the foreseeable future.
Here are the new branch hours:
Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.Sunday: 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Curbside service will continue to be available to anyone who requests it.
In addition to limited hours, other health and safety protocols will be implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19 through the libraries.
All in-person programs are canceled for the foreseeable futureVirtual programs and make-and-take programs will continueMeeting rooms at all branches are closedGuests will need to wear a mask in Heights Library branches. Guests should supply their own masks, because the library system's supply is dwindling. Masks must be worn over the mouth and nose. Any customer who does not properly wear a mask will be reminded and then asked to leave if they continue to ignore mask protocols.
