Description
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Scenic Shop Hand role includes, but is not limited to:
·Working multiple events/projects simultaneously
·Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
·Loading and unloading of trucks
-Moving scenic walls
·Assemble and disassemble scenery
·Set up props
·Laying carpets
·Inspecting, wrapping and returning inventory
·Ability to drive lager trucks up to a 24’ stake bed
·Traveling onsite
·The use of hand tools and power tools
·Assists with set construction
·+plus, if experience in carpentry
·Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
·Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
·Must be flexible, able to manage last-minute changes and work well under pressure
·Organized, self-motivated team player
·Able and willing to work weekends and holidays
·Good communication skills, both written and verbal
·Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
·Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus!
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
·Ability to work unusual hours (early morning, late nights load-ins & load-outs)
·Must be able to work weekends
·Typical weeks require a 40-60-hour commitment
·This position requires heavy lifting up to 75lbs
·Job requires an employee to perform basic arithmetic accurately
·Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (verbally and in writing) as appropriate for the needs of the audience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour
