Chesapeake Machining & Fabrication, Inc. is a job shop industrial manufacturer. We specialize in offering turnkey project management, including original equipment manufacturing, industrial maintenance and repair, plus contract manufacturing since 1981. We are currently seeking a shop helper to offer general labor to our machine and fabrication shops. An ideal candidate would have to have the following: - Self-motivated - Courteous and respectful to others - Have a sense of organization - Must be able to work in an industrial environment - Must be able to assist skilled tradespeople if needed in their day to day duties - Follow instructions from supervisors - Cleaning, preparing, and assembling manufactured parts for shipping - Loading and unloading as well as documenting materials and equipment - Must be able to lift 50 pounds - Handling, rigging, and moving of manufactured parts by use of overhead cranes, forklifts, etc. - Forklift certification a plus but not needed. Applicant will become forklift certified - Basic understanding and use of mechanical hand tools (Tape Measure, Wrenches, Sockets, Etc.) Day shift only. Qualified candidates must pass a physical and drug screening.
