Yondr has a simple purpose: to show people how powerful a moment can be when we aren’t focused on documenting or broadcasting it. Working closely with our Production, Artist Relations, and Operations teams, interns will assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of Yondr experiences. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, communicative, and excited to play a role in onsite event and staff management. Upcoming shows in Washington D.C. include Jack White, John Mulaney, and Hannah Gadsby, with more to be announced. Time commitment: 10 hours per week for 12 weeks. Start and end dates flexible Cash compensation: Monthly pay of $800, payable semi monthly. Ongoing responsibilities: - Act as an on-site lead and point of contact for vendors, partners, event staff, and internal teams - Recruit, train, and manage a small team of part-time event staff - Assist with local production, venue setup, and logistics - Maintain and develop relationships with venues and other regional partners - Field and answer guest, staff, and vendor questions Semester Project: Design and execute your own phone-free event - Planning - Develop an event outline including venue selection and capacity, artists, vendors, staffing needs, intended audience, registration, budget, metrics, and timeline - Promotion - Create strategies and schedule for event marketing - Onsite event management - Consider ingress, egress, decor, signage, staffing, and safety - Post-event review - What worked and what didn't? What makes a successful event? Skills & Experience: - Optional 2+ years experience working in restaurant / hospitality / venue / customer-facing role - Must be able to lift +25 pounds - Detail-oriented, astute problem solver who has the ability to see the bigger picture - Excited to work onsite and open to working on weekends and odd hours based on event needs - Excellent communication skills with a people-first approach to quickly resolve issues - Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite - Pragmatic with a bit of whimsy - Lover of live music and the outdoors Qualifications: - Legally authorized to work in the U.S. according to each state’s requirements - Valid US Driver’s License - Must be 18 + To apply please submit a resume and a brief statement including an introduction and a favorite recent live event you attended (no more than 4 sentences).
