Description
Experienced bassist looking to join a band - originals, not covers. I spent 10+ years on the road and have played about 1,500 shows across North America, Europe, Australia and Asia with a band that I started and managed. We played mostly mid-size venues (400-500 capacity) and large festivals (50,000+) so I feel very comfortable in multiple environments. I play bass and several other instruments. Plenty of experience behind the mixing board as an engineer and producer as well with knowledge of Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools, and Studio One. I have a ton of pro gear for both stage and studio and I have endorsement deals with 20+ music companies. I also have many great relationships with labels (indie + major), booking agents, publicists, etc. especially since I'm a regular headliner/speaker at SXSW, CD Baby's DIY Musician Con, Music Biz and work consult with many artists/labels. I have my own rehearsal space so if you need some place to play, I've got a ton of room. Music-wise, I'd love to find something that is pop music: rock, punk, or new/wave synth but I'm pretty open to many genres. Some of my favorite artists include: Ramones, The Cure, Depeche Mode, New Order, Joy Division, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, and CHVRCHES. If you're familiar with early 90's Lookout Records of Kill Rock Stars music, that's also something I'd really be open to as well. Not really interested in hard rock or metal. I am mostly focused on local/regional acts and not looking to tour full time any longer. More than anything, I just want to have fun playing good music with nice people. If you've got a project and want to do something, would love to hear what you have going on - please have samples, recordings, and/or videos if you have them. I'm extremely hardworking on/off the stage and can help with getting a crowd as well as some navigating some of the business but this is mostly for fun.
