Experience with CorelDraw X3/X6, DOSBox.74 preferred but not required. Job Description: Production Machine Operator preps and prints various media per customer specifications. This position works directly with our sales team, customers, graphic artists, and other machine operators and assemblers to produce the highest quality products in the most efficient way possible. Close attention to detail, proofreading, problem solving as well as strong follow up skills are essential. In addition to working on a computer, full production or preparation of certain items including assembly, paint, or other decoration methods, may be needed. Qualifications and Expectations: Mechanical aptitude Proficient use of U.S. measurements High school diploma or equivalent Comfortable using computers Capacity for solving practical problems Professional, dependable and punctual Organized and detail oriented Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Work both independently and as a team Background check will be performed This role’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Engraving: Operate engraving machine as needed to accurately engrave customer orders matched to desired and/or provided specs. Operate laser engraving machine as needed to accurately engrave customer orders matched to desired and/or provided specs. Effectively uses CorelDraw for engraving and sublimation art work, and, when necessary, use Photoshop and Illustrator to manipulate files, before saving all files for reference and use on future jobs. Match and design layouts for a variety of awards on a variety of materials, including, most commonly: aluminum, brass, plastic, wood, marble, leather, and custom items. Proofread ones' work and other designers' before engraving to ensure accuracy. Sublimation: Operate heat presses for sublimation of plates and badges. Use of metal cutters, hole punches/notches, bevel machine, and heat bar to assemble and fill orders. Sand Blasting: Operates sand blaster for etching of glass and various custom items. Product Assembly: Assembly to include: Trophies, Plaques, glass, acrylics, name badges, plates, medals, pins, etc. Operates chop saw for cutting trophy columns. Packaging: Orders to be shipped will be packaged carefully and adequately to safeguard breakage in transit. Packaged orders to be shipped will be placed at shipping desk terminal.
