Join Park staff and Volunteer Naturalists for a discovery hike of spring wildflowers and their Native American and Pioneer historical uses.
Park staff and Volunteer Naturalists will point out various spring ephemerals also known as spring wildflowers such as the Virginia Bluebell that only come out during this time of year when sunlight reaches the woodland floor. Discover each flowers interesting history from Native American uses to Pioneer medicine to the importance of local wildlife such as Illinois' pollinators. Great program for aspiring botanists, gardeners, Master Naturalists, or those simply interested in plants and their histories.
