Minority Construction Group is looking for a demolition, laborer, carpenter that can assist with Commercial and Residential tenant improvement work. A small business looking for the right person to grow with the company. • Constructs, erects, installs, and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard, conforming to local building codes • Must be flexible and able to work at multiple job sites • Ability to work independently at times, yet take good direction • General carpentry tools (hammer, small tools, skilsaw, etc.) • Quality rough framing and finish carpentry skills a plus • This is an entry level position • This is a permanent part time position until full time work is available General Accountabilities • To be able to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans for information pertaining to type of material required, such as lumber or fiberboard, and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. • Marks cutting and assembly lines on materials. • Fits and installs prefabricated window frames, doors, doorframes, weather stripping, interior and exterior trim, and finish hardware, such as locks, letter drops, and kick plates. • Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. • *The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
