Vehicle Detailer / Mechanic Helper in N. Austin   Temp to hire   $17/hour   Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:30pm   Job Summary Operates commercial vehicle washing equipment to wash a variety of mobile equipment such as trailers, construction equipment, pickups and sedans; performs vehicle service duties and assists vehicle mechanics.   Essential Functions Operates commercial vehicle washing equipment to wash a variety of mobile equipment such as, trailers, construction equipment, pickups and sedans. Moves tractor-trailer units and other mobile equipment on-site to and from vehicle washing station. Performs routine vehicle maintenance service tasks. Assists vehicle mechanics as assigned. Sweeps and cleans the Vehicle Maintenance shop areas. Performs all duties safely, taking all reasonable precautions to prevent injuries and damage. Displays an attitude of helpfulness and co-operation to all contacts inside and outside the Company. Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications Ability to learn to operate washing equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to safety move tractor-trailer units and other mobile equipment on-site, to and from vehicle washing station. Ability to climb ladders and stairs. Ability to use tools. Ability to perform job duties safely and obey orders. Ability to work well with others. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability and demonstrated willingness to respond to and handle call outs, and to work all assigned overtime; must have reliable means of contact.   Working Conditions Works in and around the vehicle maintenance shops and in the field, often exposed to all weather conditions.
