We are looking to add Full-Time Hemp Processing Technicians to our growing hemp farm! If you are hard working and have good attention to detail, this is the job for you. Hemp Processing Technicians perform hemp harvesting and processing tasks as directed by Processing Manager and determined by the Head Grower. They are necessary to maintaining product quality and ensure appropriate reclamation of product value. PAY: - Dependent upon experience. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Follow appropriate processing protocols for hemp plants as determined by the head grower. - Utilize the equipment acquired for all associated job functions. - Maintain a performance rate within a range of 25% of the department’s overall performance rate per crop. - Understand the equipment utilized in all associated job functions. - Execute general processing tasks associated with the preparation of raw hemp product such as hanging, defoliating, and sorting newly or relatively recently harvested hemp, as well as bucking, shucking, sorting, and grading dried hemp. - Perform quality control tasks such as labelling, curing, measuring key quality metrics such as internal moisture level of hemp throughout all phases of processing, differentiating quality grade, and sorting dried, harvested hemp. - Operate and maintain all equipment related to processing as determined by the head grower. - Record performance metrics related to all relevant tasks as determined by the head grower. - All other related tasks to processing as determined by the head grower. - Perform tasks within cultivation and production as needed and determined by head grower. - Follow appropriate protocols when performing tasks within cultivation and production on an as needed basis as determined by Head Grower. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to maintain attentive listening for up to 4 hours per day - Must be able to perform sedentary or limited movement tasks for up to 8 hours per day. - Must be able to perform actively moving tasks for up to 8 hours per day. - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. - Sits for up to 7.5 hour per day. - Must be able to stand for approximately 7 hours in a day. - Must be able to perform physical tasks while standing. - Must be able to follow explicit instructions repeatedly. - Must be able to meet standards and work effectively in a high-paced environment. - Must be able to manage corrective actions for behavior and work in a pro-active fashion. - Must be able to walk consistently between tasks. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Education Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent 2. Knowledge base: - A basic understanding of horticulture is a plus but not required 3. Experience Requirements: - Previous experience working with hemp processing is a huge plus but not required.
