Grab your sweetheart, pour a beer, and learn to make biscuits with a romantic twist. During this hands-on class you will follow step-by-step instructions from our head chef to make a tray of "Sweetheart" biscuits--heart-shaped biscuits glazed in vanilla donut icing and topped with a personalized message of your choice! Following the class is a guided brewery tour inside OKC's largest taproom. Due to the pandemic, Barley & Bees started as a food truck delivering handcrafted biscuits to neighborhoods and parks throughout the city. Their food truck (named Jolene) worked tirelessly through 2021 leading them to finally open their first kitchen inside the Twisted Spike Brewery in December 2020. ABOUT: TWISTED SPIKE BREWING CO Twisted Spike opened its doors December 2016 in Downtown OKC’s Automobile Alley. The 7500 sq. ft. building, originally built as a warehouse, boasts OKC's largest taproom. The brewery and taproom's interior was designed with the nearby railroad tracks in mind. Both are decorated with converted shipping containers, including the main bar and cold storage units. The taproom’s exposed wood beams and acme brick walls have been restored to its original 1927 character. Founded by Brewmaster Bruce Sanchez & Donna Sanchez, it was their vision to create a Downtown OKC beer destination.
