We are back in person for our 2022 Institutes for Teaching Diversity and Social Justice! Join us for 4 days of learning and reflection.
Since its inception, IDSJ has been a professional development program for individuals who want to build inclusive and affirming learning environments that foster social justice for their students and the broader community. Our programs are designed to support educators in their personal and professional growth, regardless of their prior knowledge or familiarity with the subject matter.
We explore topics and develop strategies that enable participants to effectively navigate topics related to diversity, equity, and justice. Intentionally educating for social justice, IDSJ approaches racism, classism, gender oppression, heterosexism, and religious oppression by examining both structural and individual bias. We focus on individual self-reflection and content knowledge; participants receive research-based tools and resources to effectively implement curriculum and teaching strategies for change within their school environments.
