On Saturday, April 9th, the Cedarmore Corporation along with the Girlz Talk Planning Committee invite you to a benefit luncheon to celebrate women who are trailblazers, glass ceiling breakers(smashers), and role models. “Lifting As We Climb” is an EmpowHERment luncheon which inspires women to strive to reach our fullest potential while acknowledging those who are our role models. Girlz Talk was established to educate, empower and help transform the trajectory of girls from underserved communities across Long Island. Each spring, hundreds of girls gather for a day of keynote speeches, interactive sessions and candid conversations that focus on academic and social issues. Girls are provided with practical tools that enable them to navigate obstacles they will likely experience as they successfully transition into womanhood. Proceeds from “Lifting as We Climb” will enable the continuation of the Cedarmore Corporations' Cynthia P. Roberts Youth Empowerment Series Girlz Talk program.
