Description
Women & girls are invited to attend HEARTWORK - a workshop to uplift communities and embrace Blackness and anti-racism through the sunnah. The HEARTWORK Initiative HEARTWORK is the inner-work needed to root out bias and myths about blackness, while cultivating respect for blackness and an appreciation for the gift of variations in the skin tones of humanity. Understanding the transformational love of the Blessed Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) helps us to activate this in our racialized society. We differentiate between being at fault and being responsible for making a change in society. Though we did not create the unjust systems, we are responsible as 'those who have been raised up' to work to dismantle it through our prayers, words, as well as building fairer structures with our hands and hearts. *Exclusive workbook included with registration!* Light Legacy Light Legacy envisions a world where we understand that the Creator ennobled humanity. We strive to provide resources for families that aid in celebrating cultures of the human family and we provide training in living and instilling prophetic values in children.
