Lunar Ticks with Brian Lirot & Friends at The Venue! The Venue is pleased to present Lunar Ticks with Brian Lirot & Friends, Saturday, February 19 at 8pm. Doors open 7pm. Advance General Admission - $10. +$3 door INDOOR SHOWS: MASKS & VACCINATION REQUIRED FOR ENTRY All patrons will need to be fully vaccinated with an FDA emergency use-authorized vaccine in order to attend a show at The Venue. Proof of vaccination must be shown at the Box Office entrance, along with a photo I.D. to enter the event space. Patrons must be masked at all times, including during the show, except while consuming beverages while seated. Masks must cover the nose and mouth. ABOUT THE ARTISTS Lunar Ticks are an eclectic Improvisational/Alternative Rock band from Chicago, IL. The band is influenced by the songwriting and studio experimentation of 90's and 2000's innovative Alternative/Indie rock bands like Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, Ween, Arcade Fire, Pavement, and Dr. Dog, and fuses it with genre-bending, progressive musicality, and exploratory improvisations in the vein of The Grateful Dead, Phish, and Umphrey's McGee. Lunar Ticks are equally at home on a bill with a folk singer, punk band, free jazz ensemble, you name it. Each setlist is formed from their diverse and expansive song list of originals and covers; debuting new material at almost every show. Extended improvisational passages can turn on a dime or meditate and unfurl in unexpected ways. Lunar Ticks aim to create a unique and memorable experience every time they pick up their instruments. At The Venue, we book nationally-recognized talent in all genres of music from blues and big band, to rock and world music, and everything in between. Frequently, our opening acts feature regional and local musicians and songwriters. Our listening room seats 200 with no obstructed views, and our outdoor stage area can fit several hundred festival fans. The Venue is operated by the Fox Valley Music Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to music education, promotion and preservation.
