A major retailer in the Logan Square area has an immediate, full-time opening for a worker in their manufacturing and shipping/receiving areas. We are a privately-owned company that has been designing and manufacturing visual displays for financial institutions nationwide for 44 years. Our team members are like family. If you’re a hard worker who has a good attitude, cares about doing a great job, enjoys doing a variety of tasks, and is ready to learn new skills, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will receive on-the-job training and work during regular business hours. Primary Responsibilities The successful candidate will perform many several tasks throughout the day, including: • Package products in appropriate boxes or other shipping containers using the best placement and cushioning for a safe journey. • Unload and load parcels and packages from trucks. • Do assembly work as needed; we will train you in our assembly methods. Qualifications We’re looking for someone with these skills: • High school graduate • Positive attitude and willingness to learn • A good team worker who can take direction from both men and women. • Can be very focused and accurate in their assembly work • Speaks clearly and listens attentively • Very basic computer knowledge • Able to stand for long periods of time • Must be able to lift 50 pounds Salary and Benefits • Hourly rate commensurate with experience • Equal opportunity employer • Health and dental insurance offered • 401(k) plan • Paid holidays and PTO • Smoke-free environment
