Come and learn the basics of gardening so that you can pass it on to your students or just for your own knowledge! Build gardening skills, connect gardening principles to school activities and lesson plans, and create a garden program at your school that is aligned with state and national science standards. The course content focuses on five topics including, composting, soils, seeds and seedlings, garden planning, and field to table practices. The class is scheduled for June 13-15, 2022 at the Linn County Extension Office (383 Collins Rd. NE Cedar Rapids). It meets from 9am-4pm on June 13th-14th and from 9am-Noon on June 15th.
