Description

The position will assist painters and welders in all task associated with sanding, prepping and painting. Forklift certified or able to become certified within 90 days of employment; Working knowledge of painting techniques, metal integrity, sanding and grinding operations; Working knowledge of shop equipment i.e., air compressors, grinders, sanders, stencils, paint equipment, and paint cleaning supplies; Must pass a pulmonary function and respirator fit test; Mechanical aptitude with a desire to learn Strong verbal and written communication skills; Must be able to read and write in English; Able to follow instructions; Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals; and Aptitude for maintaining and repairing equipment. High school diploma or its equivalent; One to two years paint and body experience; Forklift certified; and Working knowledge of paint, prep surfaces, environmental rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Valid Texas Class C Driver’s license.
