Fairall, PhD, CSCS, ACSM-EP, NASM-CPT/CES/PES/FNS, Program Director of the Exercise and Sport Science degree program at Keiser University - Jacksonville Campus (Instructor's bio)This $99 ($250 value) continuing education workshop provides 0.8 CEUs (8 contact hours) for the National Academy of Sports Medicine’s (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Athletics and Fitness Association of America’s (AFAA) Group Fitness Instructor (GFI) certifications. Seating is limited to 30 registrations. Please register as soon as possible to reserve your spot. Registration cancelations and transfers will be handeled on a case-to-case basis. The workshop will cover the functional anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder complex, including the skeletal bones making up the shoulder girdle and shoulder joint, the articulations/joints of the shoulder girdle and shoulder joint, the muscles of the shoulder girdle and shoulder joint (including their origins and insertions), and the shoulder girdle and shoulder joint actions in relations to planes of motion and axes. As well as resistance training and flexibility exercises for the muscles of the shoulder girdle and shoulder joint based on NASM's Optimum Performance Training (OPT) Model.
