WILMINGTON, MA — More than two weeks into Wilmington's 2022 election season, just two candidates have taken out papers to run for office this year, the town clerk said.
There are seven seats on the ballot across four boards and committees in the April 23 town election.
Paul Swaronski has taken out papers to run for the Board of Selectmen and incumbent Jason Samaha has taken out papers to run for re-election to the School Committee.
Neither has returned their papers yet, Town Clerk Beth Lawrenson said. Nomination papers are available from the town clerk's office until March 4, when they are due back with 50 signatures from registered town voters.
The following seats are up for election:
