NEW BERLIN, WI — New Berlin police responded to several calls for service in the past week. Here are a few highlights from the department's online police log from Jan. 10 to Monday. Resident Says BB Gun Fired At House A resident told police that at some time between Sunday morning and Monday evening, someone fired multiple rounds from a BB gun at their house on 3100 South 145th Street, causing damage, according to logs. Unfounded Bomb Threat At Walmart The Walmart at 15205 West Greenfield Avenue reported to police that they received information about a possible bomb threat on Jan. 11, logs said. The possible threat was determined to be unfounded after an investigation, logs said. Resident Reports Purchase Of Stolen Car A resident told police on Jan. 13 he purchased a used vehicle over social media that he suspected was stolen, logs said. The vehicle was confirmed as stolen by Chicago Police and recovered. Car Stolen On Greenfield Avenue A resident said their 2017 Hyundai Sonata was stolen sometime between Jan. 12 and Jan. 13 from 12400 West Greenfield Avenue. Car Found Unattended After Running Off Road Police responded to a hit and run accident on Saturday near 12500 West Euclid Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Officers found a vehicle unattended that ran off the road into a fence, logs said. Thefts From Walmart Walmart at 15205 West Greenfield Avenue reported to police that a man stole multiple items on Saturday before leaving in a gray Kia sedan, logs said. Package Arrives Without Contents A resident on 14800 West Hidden Creek Court told police on Jan. 12 they received a package and that the contents had been stolen before delivery, logs said.
