Description
LINDENHURST, NY — Lindenhurst residents, property owners and workers are invited to share their opinions on — and suggestions for — growth in the village's Downtown Business District.
A confidential survey, open through Feb. 13, is designed to "collect a wide range of information regarding the improvements to the downtown, as well as any additional suggestions that residents, property owners, merchants, and consumers may have about economic activity in the Lindenhurst community," village officials said.
The survey, created by the Lindenhurst Economic Development Committee, is focused on the shops, restaurants and businesses on Wellwood and Hoffman Avenues.
It asks questions such as "Would you say the downtown business district has improved over the last several years?" and "How often do you frequent the restaurants in the Village of Lindenhurst?"
It's a follow-up to a survey that committee conducted in 2015, prior to the downtown revitalization initiative that included the opening of at least eight new businesses on Hoffman and Wellwood Avenues in 2018.
Respondents are invited to list the things they like and dislike about the Downtown Business District, as well as the activities and events they'd like to see in the area.
Anyone with questions about the survey is invited to email [email protected].
