Sunflower Farm’s Mission Statement is: To cultivate an appreciation for farming, nature and our sustainable future by providing a place of mindful education and memories through daily farm routines, experiential play, family time together and stillness. Sunflower Farm, is a 55 - acre educational demonstration farm in rural Southern Longmont, Colorado. We are seeking a part-time charismatic Farmfest Attendant, who can work our public Farmfest hours, where families come to experience life on the farm! The hours are Saturdays and occasional Sundays, and in the summer 1-2 additional evenings per week from 3-8:30 on Wednesday and some Fridays. There are some additional weekday hours during the year as well, during our school’s spring break, fall break, winter break and 2 summer breaks, when we run daily Farmfests. Hours during the winter colder months are 10-4 and during the warmer months the schedule is 8:00-2:00. Total hours per week on average are anywhere between 6-18, less in the winter, more in summer and fall and during our break weeks, it would be closer to 30 hours, but you do not have to work the entire week. Additional hours are also possible, in managing weekend volunteer projects. Job Description: • Arriving one hour prior to guests arriving, and cleaning tables, bathrooms, stocking supplies, hand washing stations and prepare farm for public. • Greeting and checking in cars as they come, and telling the rules and reminders of the farm. • Walking the farm, checking on guests, cleaning up around them, supplying firewood to bonfire. • Do filler work, while guests are there, such as restocking supplies, weeding, cleaning, organizing or managing small volunteer projects. • At the end of the day, using the mule to ride around, pick up trash, clean bathrooms, restock and make sure all guests have left property. Job Qualifications: · Great Customer Service Experience • Good at cleaning and organizing · Friendly and Confident · Good at being assertive when needed · Able to manage a situation alone · Good eye at finding things to do and doing what needs to be done · Physically fit, able to lift up to 30 pounds and be on your feet for most of the shift · Shares a passion for farming, nature, animals and kids. · Is 18 or older · Good at multi-tasking · Enjoys working outside in the cold or heat · Flexible schedule · Able to manage a group of volunteers If you are interested please send your resume with your relevant experience and a brief cover letter about why you believe you are qualified for this position to the email below.
