EAST PROVIDENCE, MA — Parts of East Providence are without power Tuesday after a tractor trailer hit a utility pole on Taunton Avenue, according to police. The crash left more than 1,300 customers without power, according to National Grid. National Grid estimated power will be restored by 5:45 p.m., Tuesday. Police asked motorists to avoid Taunton Avenue near Burger King, East Providence Medical Center and Shaw's Market. This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
