Description
BRISTOL, PA — A home in Bristol Township was 'completely destroyed' in a severe fire in the early hours of Tuesday, Jan. 18.
According to Chief Kevin Dippolito, Fire Marshal of the Bristol Township Fire Company, the fire, which occurred just after 5 a.m., was caused by a space heater.
Firefighters were dispatched to the house, located on Ailanthus Lane, at 5:19 a.m. Despite heir best efforts, the house was destroyed in the fire.
The family had insured the house; they are currently staying with family. None of the members of the family, or the firefighters, were harmed as a result of the fire.
Once firefighters began leaving the scene, Bristol Township Public Works salted the roadway to insure that none of the water used to douse the fire froze in the street.
