Here are the top three stories today in Jackson: Jackson Mayor's Summer Youth Employment Program is accepting applications. The program provides Jackson youth with paid opportunities to develop work skills and experience. It's open to youth in Jackson between the ages of 16 to 24 years old. (WJTV) The "Ignite the Night" event will bring the Big Apple to Mississippi Children's Museum. Adults are invited to dress in the most Cosmopolitan of NYC style and enjoy entertainment by NYC-styled street performers and musicians. The event will take place on Saturday, Feb. 12. (WJTV) Two Jackson area students were chosen for the 60th United States Senate Youth Program in March. Emily Adcock and Vaibhavi Mahajan were selected as part of the 104 national student delegation this year. They'll learn about the federal government and the people running it, as well as receive $10,000 scholarships sponsored by the Hearst Foundation.
